Cooking time: 30 mins
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of Basmati Rice
- 4 cups of Water
- 2 tsp Jeera (Cumin)
- 6 Cloves
- 1 inch / 2.5 cm Cinnamon
- 4 Cardamoms
- 2 Bay leaves
- 3 tsp of Oil
- 2 Carrots finely diced
- 1/2 cup of Frozen Peas
- Salt to taste
- Soak the Rice in Water for 15 minutes.
- In a non-stick pan heat the oil. Then add all the spices.
- After 1 min. add the rice and fry.
- After 5 mins add the diced carrots and frozen peas. Fry for 4 minutes.
- Transfer the whole into a rice cooker. Add the water and salt to taste.
- Cook until done ( about 20 minutes).
