Cooking time: 20 mins
Ingredients:
- 250 g cabbage
- 2 carrots
- 1 red pepper
- 3 tbsp oil
- 1/2 tsp mustard
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp channa/ gram dhal
- 1/2 tsp black gram dhal
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- pinch of asafoetida
- 3 red chillies
- 10 curry leaves
- 2 tbsp of desiccated coconut
- Wash and cut the vegetables into big chunks.
- Then pass them through a food processor to get smaller pieces.
- Heat 3 tbsp of oil in a non-stick pan, then add mustard, cumin, dhal, turmeric and asafoetida until the mustard crackle and the dhal turn golden brown.
- Then add Curry leaves and red chillies.
- After 1 minute, add the chopped vegetables and a little water.
- Stir at equal time intervals for 10 minutes.
- Then add salt to taste and let it cook.
- After 8 minutes add the coconut, turn of the heat and cover it.
