Cooking time: 15mins
Ingredients:
- 150g Channa dhal
- 200g Jaggery / Brown Sugar
- 2 tsp Roasted Poppy Seeds
- 75g Grated Coconut
- 3 tbsp Ghee
- Pinch of Saffron
- 1/2 tsp Cardamom Powder
- In a non-stick pan roast the channa dhal, then place in a pressure cooker. Strain the contents after it is done.
- Melt the Jaggery with a little water in a heavy bottomed pan. Once melted, add the strained channa dhal, fried poppy seeds, grated coconut, cardamom powder, saffron and 2 tsp of ghee.
- Cook it all at medium heat.
- Add roasted almonds and sun-dried raisins for taste
